What is Juvéderm®?

Juvéderm® is a family of injectable dermal fillers designed to lift, firm, and hydrate using hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body, giving skin a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance. It allows clients to achieve natural-looking results – not an “overdone,” “over-treated” appearance. Juvéderm® can be used on the face and lips to help skin look healthier, more beautiful, and more youthful.

Juvéderm® Candidates

Adults 21 years and older who are experiencing fine wrinkles, loss of facial volume, thinning lips, or dull skin can benefit from Juvéderm® injections.  However, you should not receive this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of severe allergies or keloid scarring, have an active infection at the treatment site, or have a bleeding or clotting disorder. The Juvéderm® Treatment

During your Juvéderm® treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area, and your injector will use a fine needle to inject the filler into the appropriate area. Overall treatment time will vary depending on the size of the area being treated and the amount of correction desired.

What to Expect Following Juvéderm®

Following your Juvéderm® dermal filler treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling, bruising, itching, or tenderness at the treatment sites which is temporary. Patients should avoid sun/heat exposure and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours after treatment for the best outcomes. Be sure to follow your specific post-treatment instructions to ensure that you receive optimal results.
