What is Daxxify®?
Daxxify® is the first and only FDA-approved, peptide-powered neuromodulator designed to treat frown lines. It is in the family of botulinumtoxinA injectables but stands out due to its innovative formulation. Daxxify® uses Peptide Exchange Technology™ that eliminates the need for accessory proteins, human components, and animal derivatives, making it a clean and effective injectable option. Daxxify® is also the only neuromodulator that is made in America.

Daxxify® Candidates
If you are unhappy with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your face, but don’t want to go under the knife, Daxxify® is a great nonsurgical treatment option for you to restore younger-looking skin. Daxxify® is not recommended for use in pregnant women or in individuals with a botulinum toxin allergy. If you are taking certain medications or have recently received other botulinum toxin injections, speak to your provider before receiving Daxxify®.
Daxxify® Treatment
Using a fine gauge needle, a highly skilled skincare expert at Grand Pearl Spa will inject Daxxify® into the muscles beneath your skin. The neuromodulator that makes up the botulinum toxin halts the signals between your nerves and muscles, causing them to relax. When your face relaxes, the wrinkles and fine lines caused by dynamic movement begin to smooth away. With a more relaxed facial posture the visible signs of aging turn into visible signs of rejuvenation and health.
What to Expect Following Daxxify®
Daxxify® has no required recovery period, but it is recommended that you do not partake in any strenuous or vigorous activity for the first four to six hours after treatment. You should also refrain from lying directly on the treatment site in order to prevent the product from traveling to unwanted areas. By following these simple instructions, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of Daxxify® for an average of six months.
Immediately after receiving Daxxify® injections, you may experience some redness and tenderness at the treatment site. This should go away after a day or two. Bruising and swelling are also common and should be no cause for concern. If these side effects worsen or become prolonged, reach out to your provider.
How is Daxxify® different from Botox?
All neuromodulators like Botox require a special ingredient to stabilize the active ingredient (botulinum toxin A), the protein responsible for relaxing the line lines and wrinkles. Daxxify® is the only long-lasting treatment powered by a peptide with results that may last up to twice as long as Botox, which means up to 6 months for some. Daxxify® also differs from Botox in that the dosage is completely different.
