What is the NanoLaserPeel?
The NanoLaserPeel uses light energy to remove the top layer of damaged skin cells and improve texture to provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be done with great precision of depth. Your laser specialist will tailor your treatment for your specific skin conditions and desired outcome.
How does the NanoLaserPeel™ work?
The laser scans over a treatment area to remove the top layer of damaged skin cells that can cause a tired, aged look. It also activates the body’s natural healing process. As your skin heals, new cells resurface on the treated area giving you healthier looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved texture. Patients often say that their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.
What can be treated with NanoLaserPeel™?
Mild wrinkles, scars, keratosis, sun damage (like freckles), and pigment irregularities.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Most skin areas can be treated, but the most popular areas are the face, neck, chest, and hands.
What will happen during the procedure?
Your skin will be cleansed and you will be given protective safety shields for your eyes. The laser specialist will position the laser hand piece above the skin and will hold it in place as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure usually lasts 5 to 10 minutes.
Will it be uncomfortable?
One of the main advantages of NanoLaserPeel™ is that it causes little pain because it does not penetrate very deeply into the skin. At its most shallow settings, most people can tolerate treatment with no topical anesthetic at all.
What should I expect immediately after my treatment?
You will notice a “frosty” appearance on your skin. This is the dehydrated skin that will peel away the next few days after your treatment. You may experience some skin redness and a sunburn sensation as well as mild swelling.
When should I expect results?
Because only the outer layer of skin is treated, most patients notice an obvious improvement in tone, texture, and color evenness once the skin heals in about 2 to 3 days.
