What is Sculptra®?

Sculptra® Candidates
Healthy adults 18 years and older who are looking to correct facial lines and wrinkles are often good candidates for Sculptra®. However, you should not use Sculptra® if you have a history of severe scarring, have an active infection at the treatment site, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are allergic to any of Sculptra’s ingredients. The Sculptra® Treatment
To get started, your injector will cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical numbing cream for your comfort. Then, the Sculptra® will be injected under the skin. The number of injections per appointment will vary depending on the amount of change desired. On average, patients need three injection appointments over the course of a few months to achieve optimal results.
What to Expect Following Sculptra ®
Following your Sculptra® treatment, you may experience temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, itching, and lumps at the injection site. You can use an ice pack on and off the area for the first 24-48 hours to bring down swelling. While there is no downtime required, we do advise that you avoid exercising for 24-48 hours after your injections. Results will appear gradually and can last up to two years.
