What is Microneedling?

However, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have an infection or active acne in the treatment site, you should not receive this treatment. The Microneedling Treatment
To begin, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the skin to ensure your comfort. Then, your technician will move a special microneedling pen across the skin, creating micro-wounds to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Treatment can take 10-30 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the targeted area.
Some patients only require a single treatment once a year to achieve optimal results. Most patients, however, achieve optimal results through a series of 3-6 treatments spaced about 4-8 weeks apart.
What to Expect Following Microneedling
Following your microneedling treatment, you may experience minor discomfort and skin redness, which is temporary. Healing usually takes about 24 hours; however, it may take up to three days depending on the depth of your treatment. There is no downtime, so you can feel free to return to your normal activities as soon as you wish.
