On average, professional tattoos require 6-12 treatments, all spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart. The number of treatments depends on the amount and type of ink used, and the depth of the ink in the skin.

Laser tattoo removal starts at $400 per session and can go up depending on the size of the tattoo.

Dark (blue, black) and red inks are the easiest to treat. Oranges and purple inks usually fade as well. Green and yellow inks are the most difficult to remove, and additional treatments are needed to produce significant fading.

There is a level of discomfort. We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to your appointment if you wish to apply a topical numbing cream or to ice the area.

In many cases, yes. Greater than 95 percent fading of the tattoo may be accomplished. However it is important to know that there are many types of tattoo inks used today. Not knowing which tattoo ink was used, or how deeply it was applied, makes it impossible for your laser specialist to predict the degree of removal on any given tattoo.

An antibacterial ointment and dressing will be applied immediately after treatment. The treated area should be kept clean and out of direct sunlight. Follow your provider’s instructions exactly for best results. A shower can be taken the next day, but be careful not to scrub the treatment area. If a scab forms it is vital that you do not scratch or pick it.
